Last year it was Lady Gaga - but this time round Jennifer Lopez has topped Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 list.
The 42-year-old singer earned $52m last year and her role as a judge on American Idol has cemented her career comeback as the most powerful celebrity, the magazine argues.
Kim Kardadshian - one of the most talked about stars of the entertainment world - couldn't surpass J-Lo though, making her debut at No.7 with $18m.She may not have featured in a film this year but that didn’t stop Jennifer Lopez from making an enormous impact at the Oscars.
Jennifer stepped out in her trademark plunging gown in a Zuhair Murad dress which hugged her curvy figure to perfection.
But as the singer took to the stage alongside Cameron Diaz to present an award she appeared in danger of falling out of her shimmering gown.
She secured deals with big brands including L'Oreal and Gillette and also has her own fashion range at Kohl's along with a best-selling fragrance.
Lopez - who bagged a $20m deal with Idol this season - also has a loyal base of social media supporters - with 6.6m Twitter followers and 12m Facebook fans.
Gaga also earned $52m last year like Lopez, but is significantly down from her previous $90m, which secured her the top spot on the 2011 Forbes list.
Jennifer arrived onto the red carpet showing off her incredible figure in the shimmering oyster gown, which boasted thin sheer panels and cut out sleeves.
She had piled her hair on top of her head into a large bun and finished off her look with diamond earrings.
The American Idol judge stepped out solo, without her toyboy boyfriend Casper Smart.
